America's Boating Course®
Safe Boating & Skills Course
This course, known as America’s Boating Course®, provides essential information for all types of craft, including sail, power, and personal watercraft (PWC). Whether you are considering a purchase or have been boating for years, we invite you and your family to join us to learn about:
- Boat Handling and Seamanship
- Required Equipment
- Rules of the Road
- Lines and Knots
- Nautical Charts and Aids to Navigation
- Engine Troubleshooting
- Boat Trailering
- plus Hands-on Demonstrations!!!
The course meets the State of North Carolina requirement that any person born on or after January 1, 1988 must successfully complete a NASBLA approved boating education course before operating any vessel propelled by a motor of 10 HP or greater (G.S. 75A-16.2).
